A long-standing tradition at Jasper High School is holding pep sessions around homecoming. Organized by student council, this year’s winter pep session on February 9th was 45 minutes packed with fun activities for the student body to watch and participate in. From bubble ball battles to tic tac toe and from a line dance led by the cast of the musical May We All to a teacher costume show, there was something for everyone in the audience to enjoy. A lot of preparation goes into putting a pep session together, and student council puts a lot of time and effort into getting each and every pep session to run as smoothly as possible. In charge of organizing the festivities is senior Karleigh LeMond, who is the spirit committee head for student council. “Since I was a freshman, I always loved the excitement of pep sessions and homecoming weeks. I have been on stuco all years of high school, and being committee head for spirit was something I’ve always wanted to do,” explained LeMond. “So far, my favorite part of having this position is coming up with the spirit week ideas for homecoming week.” The hard work of Karleigh LeMond and everyone else in student council paid off, as all of the activities were executed perfectly without an issue and everyone in the student body seemed to have a good time.
