Shriek Show – Ancient Ram Inn

For this segment, we will be discussing the Ancient Ram Inn, located in England. It was originally built in 1145 and has served as a priest’s house, an Inn, and a public house. The building is home to a 5,000-year-old Pagan burial ground and it first housed masons, slaves, and workers who were constructing St. Mary’s Church, located directly across the street from the Inn. Some of the streams on the inn’s grounds had to be diverted around the church’s site and many believe the redirecting of water opened up a portal for dark energy. 

In the late 1960s, a man who goes by the name John Humphries moved into the house and has since dedicated his life to preserving the building. The first night he slept in the house, he claims that a demonic force grabbed his arm and dragged him out of bed and across the room. He has also discovered evidence of ritual sacrifices, devil worship, and has even found skeletal remains of children under the staircase with daggers in them.

There is also said to be a witch that haunts the Inn. She took refuge at the house before she was taken and burned at the stake. Her crime was not practicing Christianity, which at the time was considered punishable by death. She is said to reside in “the witch room”.
